About Okta (New Single Sign-On) early access

Important

As announced at kwic and our website, on August 16 this summer, Single Sign-On (SSO) will switch to "Okta", our new service. After the switchover, various services cannot be used without initial settings.

We have decided to prepare for early access to Okta in advance of the official switchover of the above service. This will allow the initial setup to be carried out without waiting for August 16.

If you fall under any of the following categories, please feel free to use Okta early access.

  • Those who want to try Okta's operation as soon as possible
  • Those who will need to login using the single sign-on immediately after the switchover on August 16 (e.g., teachers in charge of intensive courses and students)
  • Those who want to complete the initial setup ahead of time because they will not have enough time after the switchover on August 16 (For those who have already completed the initial setup through early access, the initial setup after the switchover will not be necessary, allowing for a smooth switchover).
  • Others

If you have been to try Okta, we would appreciate your cooperation in the survey in order to improve the quality of the system for the official release.

Please note that some settings may be changed during the early access period based on the feedback we receive. Please be aware that you may be temporarily unable to log in without prior notice (However, even if the above-mentioned changes in settings occur, there will basically be no "changes that would render the initial settings you have made useless").

Precautions

  • You will be able to access various services by logging in with Okta on August 16. Until then, you will ONLY be able to log in to Okta itself and set up the initial settings.
  • Until the switchover on August 16, the login screen displayed when accessing various services will be the current common authentication, not Okta, even after the initial setup through early access.
  • Due to early access, the manual is incomplete. We ask for your patience.
  • If the Okta setup does not work, it will not affect any existing services other than Okta until the switchover on August 16. Please remain calm and take action.
