Mail: Mail Forwarding Settings

  1. On the Information System Web Service menu, clicking on the button labeled "Mail Forwarding" will take you to the Mail Forwarding page.

  2. You can set up Mail Forwarding to automatically send your incoming mail to as many as three external mail accounts.
    When forwarding, you can elect to either have your university mail server preserve your incoming messages or automatically delete them.

  3. Make sure you enter your forwarding address correctly, because if you make even a little mistake, your mail will not be forwarded to the correct destination. Extra care must be taken when setting up Mail to be forwarded to a cell phone, because cell phones often have junk mail filters that prevent forwarded mail from getting through.

How to terminate mail forwarding?

To terminate the connection to an existing forwarding destination, first click the checkbox on the left of the address you wish to change. Then confirm that choice by clicking the Remove button.

Making sure your mail is forwarded correctly to your cell phone

Send an email from your cell phone to your Kwansei Gakuin mail address. To make sure your mail is being correctly forwarded, simply send an email from your cell phone to your Kwansei Gakuin address. If set up correctly, the mail you just sent will be forwarded right back to your cell phone.

If the mail you sent to your Kwansei Gakuin address is not forwarded back to your cell phone

Setting up your cell phone to accept Kwansei Gakuin addresses. To configure your cell phone to accept mail from KG, add " kwansei.ac.jp" to your list of acceptable domains. For setting up your cell phone specifically, please refer to the links below.
